Finally 18!!!!

Today is the day... I'm finally 18 years old!^^

First of all I wanted to stay 17 for always, I didn't want to get old. When you're 18 live isn't a game anymore.

When you're 18 years old, live is starting to get damn serious...

you're actually an adult!!

And that kinda freaks me out!!!

But then I thought it over a bit and realized that 18 was fine too. When you're 18 years old you can do more stuff. You don't need to ask it all the time at your parents. So all the rest is worth it.

So from now on I won't stay 17 for whole my live, but I will stay 18 years old for whole my live.

I don't know if you already noticed but a lot of jewelry is totally hot at the moment (for a while right now). You can see it almost every where; at fashion shows, on the red carpet or just on the streets right next door. How more you put on how better.

I just found out about this great competition.

Caroline, a Swedish stylist with her own blog, Carolines mode, were you have the chance to win a fashionable combination (until the 22/02, so be fast) You have the choose out of 14 combinations made of 14 items.

The photo above is my favorite combination (click to enlarge). It was a hard chose, because they all look very amazing.

I choose this outfit because i really love the edgy touch it gives, but it still stays simple. The items match perfectly. And I try to pouch my style in that direction.

I would really love to win this outfit because I'm looking for it for a very long time now. And because I promised my mother that I would save my money for next year for my studies, I don't spend any money on clouds anymore. I hope to do a study to become a stylist, it will be a lot of hard work. But I will just go for it and hope the best.

(I never really attended a competition, so I consider this as my first! ^^, wish me luck)

Lately more and more celebs are going for the style Boho-chic. And I kinda like this style too. So for the one who doesn't know what it means, I'll explain.^^

When we're talking about fashion, the word Bohemian is used to convey an attitude and style that describes a free-spirited, independent frame of mind. Called Boho for short.

The Boho look is earthy and layered, with loose, flowing fashions and accessories that are often made from natural materials like linen and gauzy cotton, wood, stones and leather. Woven items are popular and so are beads that are used in jewelry and to decorate purses, belts...

Tunics work over skirts or pants and can be loosely belted if you like. Vintage jewelry and fashions always have a plays in a Bohemian ensemble.

Today's Boho-chic look looks a lot like the look of the late 1960's to early 1970's flower child fashion, you want more

of a "hippie look".

The best thing about the Boho look is that nothing has to match. The pieces you choose should layer well and they work together to give you a classy, Boho-chic appearance. Thin ethnic. Think organic... Earthy colors and fabrics. Think relaxed. Think vintage.

Big fans of this style are Sienna Miller, Kate Moss (United Kingdom), Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Nicole Richie (United States).

Some girls just have one fashion icon, But I don't. I just like to look at the style of a couple of celebs.^^

So I will show you some of my fashion icons.

*Lauren Conrad:

Lauren Conrad you probebly konw from the reallity-shows 'The Hills' and 'Laguna Beach' on MTV.

Lauren Conrad is one of my favorite fas

hion icons. She always looks perfect if it is for a big event or just for a shopping day.

*Nicole Richie:

I don't think I need to explain who Nicole Richie is...

I really love the way she dresses. Sometimes she has this cute style with an edgy tough and sometimes this Boho-chic style (Hipie)

* Taylor Momsen:

Taylor Momsen is the young actress who plays Jenny Humphrey in 'Gossip Girl'. In the beginning of the serie (saison 1) she had this dolly style.

But later on her style changed in this biker/ rock chick.

With a lot of dark make-up.

I really like this new look of her.

*Daisy Lowe:

She is a british girl. Her mother, Pearl Lowe is a designer and singer in the band Powder. Her father is Gavin Rossdale ( Yes, that's rigtht. The hubby of Gwen Stefani) Daisy is the daughter of his first wife.

Daisy works as a model, she already posed for VOGUE, W and Jane.

She actually doesn't have one style, she has a lot of styles. The most of the time she mixes bright colors with black. And you won't see her without her eyliner!

So, I thought before I would begin with my blog I'll tell you something about me.

To begin with my name is Cherine. I'm 17 years old. I live in the south of France (Aveyron), but was born in Belgium. We moved to France not so long ago (july 2008).

I have one younger brother, Sven.

And an older sister, Daphne. How lives in Holland (maastricht), so I miss her terrible.

She is my biggest idole.

I'm mostly intresseded in fashion. So my blog will mostly be about fashion.^^
